Michele was an incredibly loved woman. She was determined to not let breast cancer defeat her spirit. Michele was extremely religious and instilled these values into her two children who she loved with her entire being. She is survived by them and her husband Jeffrey. Michele was a woman of many incredible talents and accomplishments, honestly too many to name! Her family was her everything and she was the wonderful big sister to her 3 sisters Eleanor, Wrenetha, Chrisandra, and brother Earl.
She was a Pharmacist at Providence hospital in Southfield for around 20 years and loved her job and the people she worked with as well. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she loved to give. She loved to read, dance around the house, go on walks with her dogs, and spend time with family. In the wintertime, skiing and watching Harry Potter marathons was her go to thing. She had a love for the outdoors and the beautiful simple things in life. Michele was the Girl Scout leader mom that everyone loved and the first person you would call if you had a problem.
Her family would greatly appreciate a donation in her memory, because she was filled with so much love and giving was the most important thing to her. Thank you so much. To make a donation in memory of Michele, please click here.

Sonia worked a total of 7 years for Whiting Law Group. As far as legal administrative assistants, Sonia was the best. We would often tell our clients she was the Michael Jordan of legal assistants. She was so good at what she did and her work was near perfect. Sonia was always professional and very kind to everyone in the office and our clients. However, that was only part of what made Sonia so special and unique. Sonia had a rare sense of being in control and calm at all times. Whenever there was stress in the office, she was always the one who was quietly confident and just got the job done. We can’t tell you how assuring that was as the leader of the firm. Sonia also had the kindest smile and genuine personality everyday she came to work. She made everyone at the law firm a better and nicer person even in the tough times. She was a true professional and rock at the firm. We was very blessed to have had to opportunity to work with her. We will all miss her she meant so much to all of us at the law firm. Her presence and terrific work and infectious kind attitude will be forever missed and will never be replaceable.

Friend of Pink Fund President, Molly MacDonald, Laura Geist was the first survivor Molly called upon learning of her diagnosis. Laura offered Molly encouragement, practical advice and most importantly prayer as she went through her breast cancer journey.
A true SurThrivor, Laura did not waste her cancer experience, and co-authored Praying Through Cancer, Set Your Heart Free From Fear, designed to bless and encourage others in their cancer journey. One of Laura’s greatest joys was to meet “strangers” in the chemo infusion room at the hospital where she was being treated and learn they had read her book.
Laura fought cancer for almost 10 years before succumbing to the disease. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her loving and supportive husband, Gordon and children, Geoff and Gretchen, sustained her through the battle.
Her legacy will live on for thousands of cancer patients through her book. To order a copy, click visit http://www.prayingthroughcancer.com/
