Like so many others, I was completely blindsided by my breast cancer diagnosis. Not only did this diagnosis mean that I was facing a very serious medical condition, but it also meant I was facing a very serious financial situation. No longer able to work and concerned with mounting medical bills on top of everyday financial obligations, much of the energy and focus that I needed to fight my cancer was instead placed on financial worries.

The Pink Fund generously awarded me a grant providing funding for my family’s housing, car payment, and utilities for 3 months! What a blessing! This financial assistance has provided me with great comfort to know that my family’s basic needs are being taken care of. This financial security allows me to shift my focus from worrying about bills to focusing my energy on my cancer treatments and getting healthy.
